“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.” Proverbs 3:9-10
What would you do with a billion (with a b) dollars? The question was on many minds this week as March Madness basketball began. Warren Buffet and Quicken Loans decided to offer a billion (with a b) dollars to anyone who could accurately predict every single game in the 63 game tournament. After day #2, no perfect brackets would be found. People around the country can only wonder now, “what would I do with a billion (with a b) dollars?”
Actually, you already know. Ask yourself, “What would I do with $100?” You’ll likely spend the billion just like you spend the $100. If you tithe, give, save, and spend in that order with a little, you’ll probably do the same with much. If you blow $99, and show up on Sunday AM tossing your last buck into the plate because it’s what you have left, then you’ll blow the billion and give God what’s left. According to Jesus, he who is faithful with little will be faithful with much, and he who isn’t, wont.
