Luke 11:2 (Day 27/50)

“When you pray say, ‘Father…’” Luke 11:2

Martin Luther describes this opening word of the Lord’s prayer beautifully:

“With these words God tenderly invites us to believe that He is our true Father and that we are His true children, so that with all the boldness and confidence we may ask Him as dear children ask their dear father.”

On this National Day of Prayer remember that God is your Father, and you can pray boldly and confidently because He loves you.

Father, thank you for hearing my prayer today and everyday. Amen.
