Psalm 95:1-7 (Day 39/50)

Some times it’s important to be reminded of who God is, and who we are. Maybe it’s better said that some times it’s important for us to be reminded of who we are NOT. We are not God. Never have been. Never will be.

We are the creatures. He’s the creator. For that He deserves our thanks and praise. He deserves our worship. He is God.

Psalm 95 provides a great prayer that does two things for us. First, it reminds us that God is God and we are not. Second, it provides words for us to use in praise of Him. Let these words be your prayer of praise today:

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord;
let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving;
let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
For the Lord is a great God,
and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the depths of the earth;
the heights of the mountains are his also.
The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.
Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
For he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture,
and the sheep of his hand. Amen! Psalm 95:1-7
